Pt. Lobos, on the Monterey Peninsula, in California's Central Coast, is a favorite painting destination of mine. Long ago, my husband and I enjoyed taking pictures there. Now it's also a good place to do plein air sketching in preparation for larger studio paintings, such as this one.
This painting was featured in a special exhibition with the California Art Club, now celebrating 100 years in the support of traditional fine art.
